About this program

MARAM

This important training focuses on the collaborative practice and foundational aspects of Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management (MARAM) that enable collaboration for professionals responding to family violence across the western metropolitan region.

Training facilitator:

Western Integrated Family Violence Committee (WIFVC)

MARAM Collaborative Practice training explores how to contribute to risk assessment and collaborate for ongoing risk management through respectful and sensitive engagement with victim survivors, information sharing, referral and secondary consultations.

This training is available to all professionals who respond to family violence in the western metropolitan region.

Prerequisites for this training can be found on the WIFVC website.

What you'll learn:

01.

Describe the MARAM Framework, its responsibilities, and how information sharing legislation supports collaborative practice across the service system

02.

Apply the four elements of structured professional judgement, evidence-based risk factors, and perpetrator visibility to assess and manage family violence risk

03.

Apply intersectionality to practice by examining privilege and oppression, and plan strategies to ensure safe, respectful environments for all victim survivors including children

04.

Define collaborative practice, distinguish between practice, organisational and system enablers, develop collaborative risk management plans, and implement effective secondary consultation and referral processes

I've attended other MARAM training. Is this training still relevant to me?

Should I come to this training instead of other MARAM trainings?

GenWest recognises that the land on which we work and provide our services always was and always will be Aboriginal land. We pay our respects to Elders past and present.

We proudly acknowledge the First Nations communities across Naarm / Melbourne’s west – the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong Boonwurrung people of the Kulin Nation. We acknowledge their rich diversity, cultures, histories and knowledges, and the deep contribution they make to the life of this region.

We acknowledge the ongoing impacts of colonisation, as well as the strength and resilience of First Nations people, and express solidarity with the ongoing struggle for land rights, self-determination, sovereignty, and recognition of past injustices.
